About You

We are looking for an individual who has a Diploma in social work or equivalent qualification, and be HCPC registered. You will also have experience of Special Educational Needs and Disability code of practice.

You will be a pro-active analytical thinker, with experience of working within a multi-agency context as well as a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children, should have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop positive relationship and be able to provide timely accurate advice to settings and families. You will also need to be a strong team worker, who brings ideas for service delivery and in partnership with parents and young people.

You will be part of developing and supporting, through working in MASH, a comprehensive service for Disabled Children and Young People and their families arising out of the Council's duties and powers under legislation and regulations, Council and Departmental policies and procedures within the Disability Enablement Service. We are a supportive, enabling and inspirational service, striving towards the shared purpose of achieving independence, choice and the best possible results for our service users. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
