Vacancy Description

As a result of the existing post holder’s promotion to Head of Service in another London Borough, an excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s Community Safety Team in a middle management role. The team has an excellent reputation at a London-wide level for delivering innovative and effective crime reduction solutions and we enjoy good and healthy relationships with partners in the borough.

As Community Safety Team Manager you will have staff management responsibilities and oversight across a range of community safety themes. You will have direct responsibility for overseeing anti-gang work and will drive our intelligence and problem solving functions. The role reports direct to the Head of Service.

You will have extensive experience of constructive partnership working and will need specialist community safety knowledge. You will need to have previous experience of working in a community safety setting, although not necessarily in a local authority, as well as managing staff. You will be outcome focused and a completer/finisher.
