Vacancy Description

Greenleaf Primary is looking to recruit a Midday Assistant to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will need to be:

  • Enthusiastic
  • A good communicator
  • Have good standards of hygiene and be able to follow hygiene protocols

Willing to engage children in interesting activities

Do you have:

  • Experience of working with children?
  • An understanding of how children develop and learn?
  • The ability to work on your own initiative?

This is a busy school and would like people who can use their own initiative, take responsibility and develop children’s play and social skills.

The role is to:

  • Engage children in purposeful play
  • Ensure the school’s positive behaviour policy is implemented
  • Encourage healthy eating
  • Support children in the dining hall
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the dining hall, including wiping tables and floors
  • Work as part of a flexible team

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo Child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). .
