Assistant Curator

It is an exciting time for culture and heritage in Waltham Forest as we work to deliver a high quality programme, across the borough for our residents and visitors to enjoy.

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Curator for William Morris Gallery and Vestry House Museum. This important role will assist with the exhibitions and collections at both the Gallery and Museum.

You will have at least one years’ experience working or volunteering in a museum or similar environment. Possessing excellent customer service and good communication, you will be able to deal with enquiries in a professional manner and be confident as the public face of the collection. Supervising the searchroom for our visitors you will be able to work one weekend a month.  You will have a basic understanding of collections management systems, collections care with a demonstrable interest in history and the arts. Assisting the Curatorial Team with exhibition preparation and installation you will have good practical skills.
