Performance and Information Lead (Children and Young People) (1 post)  

An exciting opportunity to work in Waltham Forest, Creating Futures for our residents has become available.

As well as the focus on improving outcomes for our residents, Waltham Forest has been awarded the honour of being the very first London Borough of Culture and a year of exciting cultural events is in store.

The Business Intelligence Service manages performance and information functions for the council and partnerships. As part of the drive to innovate the way that data is used, a Data to Intelligence project sitting within the service & working in partnership with OfSTED, the London Borough of Hackney & Tower Hamlets, has developed the ChAT; a data tool designed to visualise data held within Local Authority Children’s Services. The ChAT is now used in over 90% of the Local Authorities in England.

An exciting post within the service has now become available due to promotion and if you have the experience and initiative to help drive us forward we want to hear from you.

Based in the Families and Performance team, this full time post will support Children’s services, including Children’s Social Care and the Early Help Directorate.

  • The post will contribute to the development, by the Business Intelligence Service of a range of business intelligence products necessary to manage and improve services for the council.
  • A key objective for the successful candidate will be to continue to improving and developing the Children’s & Families Services and Early Help Directorate performance frameworks, working with the Families Performance &Information Manager and Senior Managers.
  • The successful candidate will also work with colleagues in the Families Performance & Information team and overarching Business Intelligence Service, building on existing strengths to create an innovative, responsive & dynamic performance & information culture within the Families Directorate.

Management experience, excellent communication skills, high personal standards and good analytical skills will be essential to the success of this role, as will the ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues internally and across partner organisations.  

Interviews and a test will be held at Waltham Forest Town Hall on Friday 8th June.
