Vacancy Description

Location: William Morris Gallery, Forest Road, Walthamstow, London and Vestry House Museum, Vestry Road, Walthamstow, London

It is an exciting time for culture and heritage in Waltham Forest as we work to deliver a high quality programme across the borough for our residents and visitors to enjoy, and as we prepare our bid to become the outer London Borough of Culture.

This important role will be responsible for delivery of all Front of House and operational duties and across two key cultural public sites located in Walthamstow: The William Morris Gallery and Vestry House Museum.

You will have a strong background in Front of House, operations and buildings management for public sites, preferably in a busy cultural setting. You will have experience of managing a Front of House team on a day to day basis, weekly rota planning, venue hire arrangements and operations, and ensuring excellent standards of customer service for our visitors and other building users at all times.

Experience of team development and training, an up to date knowledge of health and safety requirements and emergency procedures for public buildings and events, and a commitment to environmental sustainability is essential. This post is a key member of the Culture & Heritage team and works closely with our venue hire and events staff to ensure the effective planning and management of events at both venues.

Closing Date: 20 Sept 2017

Interviews are scheduled for: 27 Sept 2017
