HR Metrics Analyst
Waltham Forest Council has recently established a new Business Intelligence team to help realise our ambitions to be ‘insight-led’ and ‘digitally-driven’. The team brings together our information and performance functions in order to deliver high-quality business intelligence and to support decision-making and service improvement across the Council.
We are now seeking a skilled and highly-motivated HR Metrics Analyst to fill a permanent role in the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a time when the Council is exploring new approaches to Business Intelligence, using modern tools and techniques to turn the data we hold into actionable intelligence and insight for managers and elected members.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regular information and analysis about the human resources activity and workforce of the Council, including about HR casework, staff characteristics, absences, vacancies and turnover, and use of temporary and agency workers.
In particular we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience of reporting from database systems such as SAP (or similar resource management systems).
Experience of analysing and reporting on data and information, preferably within a public sector context.
Ability to challenge existing ways of working and develop new approaches.
If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Ed Maguire (Head of Business Intelligence) on 020 8496 4855.
